Missionaries You Should Know: Samuel Zwemer contributed more to mission work among Muslims in the Middle East and North Africa than perhaps any other individual in history. Help Needed to Mulch: On May 18, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., we will be mulching at the church. We need volunteers to come out and help us. If you are able to help, please contact the church office. Thank you!

CareNet Donations: The baby bottle campaign is here!. Baby bottles to collect money/checks are available in the church foyer. CareNet is also seeking donations of the following items: diapers (size 3-6), spring/summer clothes (size 3T-5T), baby bottles (new), bath towels, baby wipes, baby wash, baby shampoo. Thank you for your help!

Advertising/Public Relations: We are seeking volunteers to help spread the word about South End. If you can help, please contact the church office.

Skilled Laborers Needed: Our friends at West End Baptist Chapel in Hagerstown are in need of help. The Blue Ridge Baptist Association has posted the following: "SKILLED LABORERS NEEDED! West End Baptist Chapel in Hagerstown MD has purchased the old Winter Street School and is in dire need of skilled laborers to do ELECTRIC and DRYWALL work. Men's Softball: The men's softball league started on April 5. All guys ages 14+ are welcome to come play with us this season!  Contact Jeff or Tony Hazelwood for details. It's not too late to sign up! Player rosters are not finalized until May 31, so you have time to join still!

Vacation Bible School Volunteers: Our vacation Bible school will be June 24-28 this year. We are looking for volunteers to help out with kindergarten and crafts. If you are able to help, please contact Lynn Daly.

Soccer Camp Volunteers Needed: Our High Power Soccer Camp will be on July 29-August 2, 5:30-8:00 each day. We are in need of volunteers to help make our camp a success. Positions include coaches, kitchen staff, drama/story time. No soccer experience is required to be a coach! This is a relaxed camp that teaches only the basics and we have volunteers onhand already who can assist with any basic soccer knowledge. Upcoming Events

Awana Awards Night: May 19, 5:00 p.m. Everyone is invited to come out and see what God has accomplished this year in our club! Our clubbers and leaders will be recognized for their hard work. After the awards ceremony, we will have a meal in the fellowship hall.

Saturday Night Living: June 1, 6:00 p.m. Join us as we explore this month's topic of "Worth". Our special guest speaker is Dallas Saah. You can learn more about her if you visit her webpage: www.dallassaah.com. Also, our former pastor Ken Stalls will be speaking as well. We'll serve pizza at 6:00 followed by our main presentation at 6:30. Invite family and friends to come out and join us! All are welcome! After our main event, we will enjoy some ice cream together. Special Combined Service: June 2, 10:45 a.m. We will have a single combined service to honor our former pastor Ken Stalls. Afterwards, we will have a luncheon.
